ASROCK 970 EXTREME3 AMD ALL-IN-1 DRIVER
I decide to put the memory back in. Another 3 long beeps and no display.
List of IOMMU-supporting hardware
I try putting only 1 card in. I switch them. I try them in different slots. So what should I do?
ASRock Extreme4 - motherboard - ATX - Socket AM3+ - AMD Specs - CNET
Not a single thing worked. Follow up question. If my configuration was bad, is it possible to fry ALL the pci-e slots or do they burn out one at a time?
March 14,6: The first slot x16 is almost always needed for a monitor hookup. The one thing you could try to put a working card directly into the first x16 slot. Especially given how cheap and shoddy I can't even determine the origin of many components on the lower end boards as they are cheap looking and Asrock 970 Extreme3 AMD All-in-1 unmarked some of the components are on some ASRock models.
ASRock > Extreme3
If ASRock removed support for those CPUs from the motherboard compatibility list for those specific motherboard models it probably means that it was a bad idea to run those CPUs on those boards to begin with. It may be "the manufacturers right to be so". In USA.
In EU, it's Asrock 970 Extreme3 AMD All-in-1 "deceiptful pubblicity", but on the sad side, class action is virtually unknown here. Lower-end builds may want to opt for a more inexpensive board in order to allocate more of their budget to components. If you want another good overclocking option, be sure to look at the Asus Sabertooth FX.
While I wouldn't say the quality of heat dissipation is as high as the Formula-Z, it's still solid and good enough for most that aren't trying to break records. Overclocking on the Sabertooth FX: I have a feeling that was a horrible idea. I notice and correct the issue.
Well I I decide to take the memory out and see what happens. I boot it up.
I turn the PC off. I decide to put the memory back in.
